75 pounds down and on my way to my ideal weight using the HCG 2.0 Options Protocol

Just like many of you, I’m the lady who has to take 50 photos just to get a decent one, and then crop my body out before I post it on social media. Or better yet, I have someone stand in front of me and just look over their shoulder for photos. I wish I were kidding, but I’m not. I even tell people when they take my picture that I only want one chin in the photo. Or at least that’s who I was.
I was never overweight growing up, but after giving birth to each of my children I gained an extra 20 pounds that I was never able to take off. And over the years the weight just kept creeping up. As my kids grew older it seemed like I was always at the grocery store buying food, or preparing food, or cleaning up the mess from all that food. Along with my two children, I ended up helping to raise 47 kids as a foster mom and as a house parent in group homes. That’s a lot of mouths to feed. At one time I had four refrigerators in my kitchen just for all the food I had to buy.
As my weight increased, so did my health problems. In the past few years I was diagnosed with high blood pressure, high cholesterol, type 2 Diabetes, fibromyalgia and Crohn’s Disease. The side effects of all the medications I was taking were almost as bad as the health problems. And with all those problems it was hard to exercise even if I wanted to. (I didn’t want to.) Sound familiar?
The worst for me was when I had to start taking steroids every day for the Crohn’s Disease. My weight shot up. Don’t get me wrong. I was still a sexy woman, but I didn’t feel like my outside matched my inside. I felt trapped in someone else’s body.
That’s when my doctor suggested I consider bariatric surgery to help me get my weight and health issues under control. I have many friends who have successfully had the surgery with amazing results, and a few friends with horror stories from their surgery. But for me, the biggest problems were the cost and just plain old not wanting to have surgery. When a friend mentioned that she had lost a lot of weight on the HCG diet, and without exercising, I was intrigued. I am one of those people who likes to gather all the facts before I begin anything, so I spent a lot of time researching before jumping on the HCG bandwagon.
I started off using with injections and using Dr. Simeons’s original protocol that he outlines in Pounds And Inches. I was thrilled when I lost 24 pounds in one round. But I struggled some finding ways to fit some of the foods into my busy lifestyle. I hate to cook, and we ate out at least twice a day after the kids grew up and moved out.
The second time I tried HCG I ordered my HCG from overseas. This was a major pain because it took a week of going back and forth between my credit card company and the distribution company because my credit card company was convinced that I wouldn’t be ordering medication from overseas. That should have been a red flag for me. After I finally received the HCG and finished the round I had only lost 5 pounds. I was so frustrated and disappointed that I gave up on trying again for over a year. In fact, I even gave up on trying to maintain my weight loss, so the weight came back.
As an actress, I was only being cast in roles for large women, and even I didn’t want to look at myself in casting photos. I needed a change.
When I decided to try HCG again I started researching again. I looked at the 800 calorie protocol, and that sounded really promising, but it still restricted the use of cosmetics and lotions. And as a diabetic, I used a lot of lotions. So I kept researching. That’s when I found HCG 2.0 by Dr. Zach LaBoube. My calorie limit would be based on my BMR, and I was not restricted from using lotions or cosmetics. This sounded like a much better option for me! But it was even better when I was able to customize the diet to truly fit with the keto way of eating, thus creating the HCG 2.0 Options Protocol.
I started out using the drops Dr. LaBoube recommended in the book, but soon after lost faith in the product consistency and labeling. So I started researching again. I knew that the only thing the hCG was doing in the diet was helping with my appetite. There have never been any clinical studies proving it increased weight loss beyond the loss from the diet, or that you would lose more fat vs. muscle, but I still wanted that appetite control. It was important for me to find something all natural to control my appetite while still doing the HCG 2.0 Options Protocol. I’m happy to say I have found that with the Elite products.
As an added bonus, my fibromyalgia is not bothering me, I have more energy and I was able to stop taking medication for my blood pressure, cholesterol, and Diabetes. I still have to take the steroid, but at least now I feel like I’m more in control of my health. I obviously can’t promise that you will have the same results, but it’s definitely worth discussing with your physician.
I did consult with my doctor before starting the diet, and he was enthusiastic about my results.
